eHound Launches ATMhound - Multi-Brand Location App for ATM Market
A number of Australia's largest financial institutions wholesale access to their ATM networks to smaller banks, building societies and credit unions - organisations who might not otherwise have the resources to establish such infrastructure.
In this way consumers can be provided with fee-free access to a nationwide ATM population, which increases choice and competition without increasing costs. But maintaining and distributing this information to customers can be a challenge.
eHound has partnered with some of Australia's leading financial institutions to provide a multi-brand ATM finder, and in the process improve ATM outcomes for banks and consumers alike. With ATMhound these organisations can distribute and update ATM information quickly and easily, while their wholesale clients can provide their customers with access to a free iPhone app that includes all relevant ATM information.
Commenting on the launch Tom McGuire, Executive Manager Operations at Queensland Police Credit Union said: "Leveraging ATMhound has allowed us to deploy a QPCU-branded iPhone application quickly and at minimal cost, and without compromising our future plans for mobile delivery of location content."

eHound Appoints Chris Warrick to Management Team
Location-based software company eHound, an IPMG Associate, has announced the appointment of Chris Warrick to its management team.
Chris has over 10 years' experience in the field of location-based services, and as a Director of Multimap UK was instrumental in the geographical expansion which preceded its acquisition by Microsoft. His most recent role was as Managing Director Australasia.
Commenting on his appointment Chris said: "The rapid penetration of smartphones means the location-based services market is now moving into a new phase, similar in profile to the exponential growth exhibited in the early days of online mapping. I am particularly excited by the direction eHound is taking in terms of real-time business intelligence, which fits neatly into the growth of digital marketing, and is taking the Platform well Beyond the Map."
